DTCC has launched tokenization services covering 34 securities, with 20 DTC participants having signed access agreements. The service establishes a regulated post-trade channel for converting eligible securities, although conversion orders operate on a narrower schedule than round-the-clock token transfers.
The deployment represents a material step toward integrating tokenized securities into established financial market infrastructure, allowing custody, settlement, and participant access to be governed through primary clearing rails rather than secondary off-exchange trading venues. The near-term effect on broader market structure remains uncertain, as restricted operating windows and the absence of reported issuance or settlement volumes make it too early to evaluate initial adoption or secondary liquidity.
Corporate objections to the planned OKX–ICE tokenized-stock platform rose to 33 after JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola, and Dell were among seven additional companies to object. The formal notices now cover 31 of the 63 originally proposed equity symbols, leaving 32 without a disclosed objection and underscoring that issuer consent remains a primary obstacle to open tokenized-equity listings without bespoke commercial agreements.
The Federal Reserve kept its policy rate steady at 3.75%–4.0% in a 10–2 vote, while Bitcoin traded at $81,280, up 0.66% over 24 hours. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $286 million across two trading sessions, reducing October net outflows to $26 million, even as Galaxy Research noted that nine hedge funds and banks reduced ETF exposure by 68,000 BTC following the compression of the cash-and-carry basis, indicating a potential base rotation toward longer-horizon allocators.
